Answer

Anyone with a WPL membership can access the resources from our Digital Library for personal use. There are, however, some restrictions for students and teachers.

If you are a student who is homeschooled, or a parent or guardian homeschooling your child, as defined by the province of Manitoba, you can use any and all of our resources for your schoolwork.

If you are a student enrolled in a school and are remote learning (part-time or full-time) or a teacher who is remote teaching (part-time or full-time), please consult the list of Digital Library resources below.

Resources both students and teachers can use with their personal library card for schoolwork at home:

  • BookFLIX
  • hoopla
  • World Book and Encyclopédie Découverte

Resources students can use with their personal library card, but teachers cannot use as part of a lesson:

  • Tumblebook (includes TeenBookCloud, Teen Book Cloud Jr, and Tumble Book Library)
  • PressReader
  • EBSCOhost (includes Canadian Points of View; Canadian Reference Centre; Explora Canada for Kids; Middle Search Plus; Primary Search)
