Q. What can I access with my online library membership?

Winnipeg Public Library offers an online membership which provides a membership number to access the Library's Digital Library Services, including the ones listed below:

• Libby OverDrive (Audiobooks, eBooks, eMagazines, Streaming movies)
• Hoopla (Streaming movies, tv and music)
• Kanopy (Streaming movies)
• Flipster (eMagazines)
• PressReader (eNewspapers and eMagazines)
• Naxos Music Library and Naxos Jazz (Streaming music)
• And many other databases (e.g. LinkedIn Learning, EBSCOhost).
   

Important information about online library memberships

• You must be a resident of Winnipeg or pay property taxes to the City of Winnipeg.
   

• Borrowing or placing requests for physical items in the Library's collections cannot be done with an online library membership number. To borrow physical items please sign up for a library card by visiting any of our 20 locations.

• Online library memberships provide you with a membership number only - not a physical library card.

• Online library memberships expire after 1 year. Contact your local Library or use our Ask Us! form if your membership has expired.

   

Can an online library membership be changed to Library card membership?

Yes. You can have your online library membership changed to one with a library card by visiting any of our 20 locations.
