Answer

At Millennium Library:

Millennium Library can host information tables from suitable agencies in Community Connections only. Information tables are not able to be hosted anywhere else in the library.

Community Connections is a space within Millennium Library that hosts agencies serving basic needs such as tax preparation, ID clinics, housing, mental health, and more. Please visit our Community Connections page to learn more. To apply to be hosted in the Community Connections space, please read our Invitation to community agencies which includes a link to the booking form.

At all branches other than Millennium:

Winnipeg Public Library will allow some organizations to have passive information tables in locations where space permits. Requesting organizations must be a service-based registered Non-Profit Organization or a Registered Charity whose main purpose is to serve: newcomers, seniors or youth, persons who are experiencing homelessness, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQQIA+, Indigenous peoples, or mental health/basic needs organizations (e.g. mental health organization or a shelter). A table and chair are provided and activity is limited to passive information only. Library customers cannot be approached or intercepted and fundraising, solicitation, petitions, and sales are not permitted. Contact the branch of interest by phone for further details and for permissions.
