Q. The library catalogue says that there's a movie in Hoopla that's available to borrow, but when I go to Hoopla it says there are no copies of it. Why?
Hoopla's catalogue changes often because they buy licensing rights to each video or album. Each item can have a different licensing term length - and sometimes even have a blackout period for just one day if a major network is broadcasting it.
We receive Hoopla's collection information in batches and add that information to our library catalogue. This means that our catalogue does not reflect Hoopla's collection in real time. So the best way to check if something is on Hoopla is to search Hoopla directly.
