Electronic resources (also referred to as databases and online resources) are Internet based tools and services that the Library pays an annual subscription for, allowing you to access resources for free with your library card.
The tools and services that you find in this guide are not available for free on the Internet; you can't search Google and find the kinds of research and magazine articles that you can find in EBSCOhost or Canadian Reference Centre, and if you want to use tools like Ancestry Plus, lyndaLibrary or Consumer Reports, you need to pay for a membership.
With Winnipeg Public Library's subscriptions, though, you don't need to pay - you just log in with your library card!
Here's the list of all of the online resources you can access with your library card.
