If the items you need are not found in our Winnipeg Public Library collections, we may be able to borrow the item from another library system elsewhere in Canada. To begin, fill in an Interlibrary Loan Request Form either online or in paper format (available at all library branches). The online form will automatically be sent to library staff; completed paper forms can be returned to the reference desk at your local library.

Please note:

  • Please provide as much information as you can about the item you're requesting: author, title, publication date or edition if that is important, ISBN, etc.
  • If you need something by a specific date, please to indicate the date on the request form.
  • Sometimes other library systems charge for interlibrary loans ($5-$25). In the "Any additional information?" section of the form, please indicate the maximum amount you're willing to pay if we can't borrow the item for free.
