Answer

When applying for a library card, you can select which notification method you prefer: telephone or email. Keep this up to date at all times! You are still responsible for picking up your holds and returning your items when due even if the library cannot contact you.

Telephone Notification

  • If you choose this option, you will be notified by our automated telephone messaging system (TeleMessaging) about overdue items and requests waiting for pick-up

Please note: Our telephone messaging system (TeleMessaging ;Télémessagerie) does not work with some types of answering machines and cell phones.

Email Notification

  • If you choose this option, you will be notified by email about overdue items and requests waiting for pick up
  • If you choose email notification, you will also receive a courtesy email notice reminding you of the due dates of items BEFORE they are due
